Frequently Asked Questions

General

  • For all business owners, the road less traveled is the path of partnership and support. Without a business background, you're most likely where the majority of business owners start out, which is full of passion and drive and no idea where to start. And, if you’re tenacious enough to even consider starting your own business, you’re most likely not going to let a lack of knowledge or support hold you back from reaching for your dreams. Eventually, every business owner will hit the proverbial wall; that moment when you realize that trial by fire is not sustainable, and in order to scale, you need support. That’s where we come in.

  • We are proud to offer national virtual services. We have a number of supporting software options and applications in place that aid our processes to operate seamlessly, regardless of whether our service is executed in-person or virtually. We have successfully served our clients virtually since being established in 2016, and will continue to do so regardless of global events.

  • The short answer is: nothing. Our onboarding consultations for recurring services are complimentary by design. We know that even thinking about bringing on a new support system can be as daunting as any other major life decision. We strive to make each step of the process as easy and painless as possible for you. Our process may include any combination of the following: one 15 minute qualifying consultation, one 30-60 minute discovery consultation, and one 30-45 minute follow-up consultation.

If additional consultations are required or requested beyond this scope, and for all standalone consultations, we will bill you out at $200 per hour.

  • We welcome all reviews! You can drop us a Google review, a website review, or both!

  • Absolutely! We welcome all referrals. Please make sure that any referrals you send us include who they were referred by. Our Founder strives to meet with every one of our referrals first, to ensure the best possible experience.

  • We’re committed to transparency, cultural fluency, and non-shaming communication. Our contracts, pricing, and deliverables are clear and upfront—no hidden fees, no vague promises.

  • All interactions occur on encrypted platforms. We follow strict data privacy protocols and provide clients with clear documentation of how their information is handled. Our privacy policy is available upon request.

  • We specialize in small businesses, start-ups, and solopreneurs. If your business values emotional intelligence, cultural integrity, and practical systems, we’re likely a strong fit.

  • Yes. We don’t just treat symptoms—we dig deep. Our intake process is designed to surface underlying issues and co-create sustainable solutions.

  • Every engagement is customized. We adapt our frameworks to your team’s size, culture, and goals—no cookie-cutter playbooks here.

  • Crum Consulting's foundation includes a commitment to supporting the neurodivergent community, understanding that traditional, "cookie-cutter" business strategies often don't work for diverse minds. We specialize in designing trauma-informed, regulation-supportive systems and workflows that work with your specific executive function and energy patterns, not against them. We focus on strengths to create structure and encouraging accountability without judgment.

Expectations

  • In the instance that you would like assistance with two or more projects, we recommend choosing one of our recurring service options. The advantage of the recurring option, over the direct-service options, is that you control the amount of hours and cost to you per month. You know what you’re getting each term, and the only way it will change is if you decide to expand the scope. Our direct-service options are best-served for one-off projects, or interim professional assistance, and can incur additional hours and cost, depending on the amount of prerequisites that may need to be included into the project scope.

  • You will be provided with your work statement and invoice via email from our website. Invoices can be paid with any major credit card. For our recurring service options, you will be invoiced in full monthly. For our direct-service options, you will be invoiced ahead of the start of the project. Some of our direct-service options will require a deposit to start the project, with the remaining balance being due prior to the end of the project. The rest of our direct-service options will be invoiced in full prior to the project starting. Regardless of service type, all invoices must be paid prior to the initiation of work, or prior to the first collaborative session. Your invoicing requirements will be covered during the consultation process, and will be documented in your work statement.

  • From the highest level, a business partnership with Crum Consulting embodies support, accountability, clarity, and ease. Most business owners have no shortage of passion and ideas, but struggle with operations and logistics. Partnering with Crum Consulting helps to balance those scales. To classify this scope into roles, our clients often take the role of the visionary; creative, full of ideas, face and voice of the business. Crum Consulting takes the role of integrator to compliment and support the visionary role; behind the scenes with systems and workflows, turning the “vision” into a reality, visionary support. Together, the two roles operate in balance and are able to produce consistent quality results.

For your first few months, you can expect to hit the ground running with efficiency and structure. We will work together to ensure your business is compliant and viable to start. From there, we will work together to ensure your business is accessible, and your foundational business components are in place. For some, the first few months can seem like a lot to work through, and that’s perfectly natural. Remember, one of the benefits of our partnership is accountability, and that means supporting you and providing the necessary structure to achieve your goals, and so much more.

  • The recurring collaborative sessions that are included with all of our recurring service packages are written into the work statement as a primary component of the scope of work; meaning that these sessions are a “use it, or lose it” component of the agreement. If you are unable to attend any scheduled collaborative sessions, we will attempt to reschedule in good faith, but we cannot make any guarantees on availability outside of the original scope of work that was agreed upon. Payment for missed collaborative sessions will not be refunded or otherwise credited.

  • At Crum Consulting, we strive to disrupt the pre-conceived notions surrounding a business partnership. When we partner with a business, we take that business on as if it were our own; with the same level of care, consideration, and passion. Our Founder, Cole, structured our proven business formula to be globally applicable and sustainable. In her words, “If we don’t have a 3 year scope of work for any one of our clients at any given time, we have already failed them”. While many firms prefer to structure their services with high costs and quick turnarounds, Crum Consulting was built to stand apart. Our services are priced below market average by design, to provide the much-needed accessibility to the people we serve best, and do so without a mandatory expiration date. After all, as our Founder would say, “The right people for Crum Consulting includes anyone that is ready to make changes in their personal and/or professional lives, is willing to put in the work to obtain their goals, and knows the value of continuous growth”. To ensure we can meet our people where they are in real time, Crum Consulting is proud to offer a number of partnership options to support you and your business.

  • We collaborate closely with your team. Implementation support is built into our process, ensuring that solutions stick and evolve with your business.
